FTC TRIES TO “UNRING THE LIBERTY BELL” AS ONE OF THEIR TOP ATTORNEYS REFUSES TO RETRACT ANTI-MORMON COMMENTS

Caught between a rock and hard place, FTC officials have shown their cards, and their obvious anxiety to have quotes critical of Mormons, attributed to Ms. Collot Guerard, one of the Commission’s lead attorneys, be removed from the EvilFTC.com website.
In a terse e-mail to Jeremy Johnson, Mr. Dotan Wineman, a representative for the Federal Trade Commission, has requested that the statements attributed to Ms. Guerard, which mock members of the Mormon Church, be immediately removed from the website. Mr. Wineman threatened legal action if his request was not acted upon. You can read the email here.

Apparently FTC attorney Ronnie Brooke missed the class on Constitutional rights in law school, since he sees nothing wrong with jail guards forcing an inmate to talk to a Government prosecutor without his attorney present.

FTC CONTINUES TO RACHET UP PRESSURE ON JOHNSON WITH LATEST ARREST FOR BOUNCED CHECKS

Jeremy Johnson was arrested for the second time on Sunday, related to the massive fraud case currently pending with the Federal Trade Commission. This time however, it has an interesting twist. He was arrested on a warrant for bounced checks which occurred nearly a year ago. This seems to be little more than another self-fulfilled prophesy from the Government in the case against Johnson.

Federal Trade Commission Chairman Jon Leibowitz delivered the following statement at a hearing today before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation to consider his nomination for a second term on the Commission:
"Chairman Rockefeller, Ranking Member Hutchison, Members of the Committee:
I am pleased to appear before you with Maureen Ohlhausen, a former FTC official, whom we hope will soon be back at the agency in a new role as a Commissioner. And I am delighted to be here with my colleagues on the Commission: Tom Rosch, Edith Ramirez, and Julie Brill. I am also joined by my wife, Ruth Marcus, and our daughters, Emma and Julia.

EVILFTC.COM MAKES ITS DEBUT

This is the first posting on EvilFTC.com. This site is administered by a group of people currently involved in a civil action with the FTC. We have collaborated our efforts to raise awareness about the actions of the Federal Trade Commission. We do not have an axe to grind against the government in general, just the people in positions of power who abuse the discretion given to them. We welcome postings and information from others who have experienced abuse at the hands of the FTC. In our case, the FTC has engaged in a campaign of deceit without regard to the rule of law. We intend to expose all of their evil deeds on this site. The 14th Amendment of the Constitution says, “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
